Christine Bischoff is the Southern Poverty Law Center’s (SPLC) Senior Supervising Attorney for Children’s Rights in Mississippi. Christine leads all SPLC’s legal and policy work related to education and children’s mental health in the state. Currently, this work includes litigation challenging the constitutionality of charter school funding in the state and the governor’s recent cuts to education funds under the state’s “balanced budget” statute.

Christine also has worked as the Economic Empowerment Policy Manager at the NAACP National Headquarters. In this position, she helped develop the organization’s economic empowerment priorities, conducted trainings in all NAACP Regions, and assisted state conferences and local branches with economic empowerment-related initiatives.
